FROM JB:
Before getting to the zoo, I was told there'd be an interactive element for our radio show. I figured I'd pet some goats or sheep and that would be it. I had no idea I'd be mobbed by birds. Truthfully, birds creep me out because they're so unpredictable. They often fly too close and cause me to flinch. So the best situation to put yourself in is feeding them and having them land on your head and arms. I was certainly swarmed at Lorikeet Landing but it wasn't as scary as I thought. Once I realized they were more focused on the cup of food than pecking out my eyes, I was OK.
From there, I felt the need to change up my color scheme... and add a little glitter. It was time to get face painted.

FROM JB:
Your face can be transformed in about three minutes at the face painting station. The artists get to work and offer you a blast of glitter to complete the look. And you certainly get a lot of stares afterward.
